HR Channels
Hot Rolled Channels have a “C” shaped cross-section and a good strength to weight ratio that provide excellent strength and stability for framing, structural support, bracing, brackets, etc. across a multitude of industries including general building construction, bridge construction, ship construction, automotive construction, railroad construction, and machinery components.
Hot Rolled Channels can be categorized into 3 types: Channel, MC Channel, and Bar Channel. Channels are characterized by their tapered flanges (legs). MC Channels are characterized by straight, parallel flanges and squared corners where the flanges meet the web. Bar Channels are characterized by their smaller dimensions typically with a depth under 3”.
