Hot Rolled Sheet and Plate can be categorized into 3 types: Sheet, Plate, and Floor Plate. Sheet is characterized by its flat surface and thickness under 3/16”, typically measured in gauges. Plate is characterized by its flat surface and thickness of 3/16” or larger. Floor plate, also known as diamond plate, is characterized by a raised pattern on one side.
